Tyson Van Alfen is currently a Ph.D. Candidate studying Finance in the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky. His areas of research include financial advisors, reputation, product markets, and managerial myopia. Additionally, he has passed level one of the CFA exam.
He has experience teaching both undergraduate and MBA students over a variety of topics such as investments, microeconomics, and econometrics. He enjoys bringing technology and new learning tools into the classroom.
He earned his MS in Financial Economics from Utah State University in 2013. He earned his BS in Finance and Economics from Utah State University as well, where he also served as the president of the Finance Club.
